Hitchman & Co Solicitors Joyce Hitchman set up her practice in May 2006 having specialised in Family law for over 13 years. She is a member of the Law Society Children Panel and Solicitors Family Law Association (Resolution), and a regular solicitor/advocate in the local Courts and in Central London.
Also in the Practice is Gloria Jones, a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. She has worked predominantly in the field of family law for the past 8 years previously working within local government and in the Queens Bench Division of the High Court. Completing the trio is Gillian Goodwin, a Family Law Assistant with over 25 years experience in dealing with Children cases. All three have worked in the same local area and are familiar with the practice of all local and central London courts.
Karen Bainbridge is our Practice and Accounts manager with a background in commercial banking. With two highly experienced PA/Secretarial staff and an office maintenance and IT consultant things are kept running smoothly allowing us to concentrate solely on clients needs. If for any reason one of us is not available to deal with a particular client query or emergency there will always be another person in the practice with the relevant experience who can step in.
As a family practice our main areas of work are divorce, ancillary relief and children matters. We are also aware that as society changes there is a need for legal advice to deal with matters such as separation agreements, pre-nuptial agreements and co-habitation agreements. We are experienced in dealing with all manner of emergency applications including domestic violence and children matters. As we are in close proximity to the local Courts we can take instructions and appear in Court on the same day if needed and circumstances allow.
